for students
Are you an artist whose work is informed by activism? Are you an activist whose creative work is part of your engagement. We would love to feature your work and projects as part of our ARTIVISM programming!
1) Help us spread the word! Tell your friends! Tell your friends' friends! We are working to develop a campus wide celebration and inquiry into how creatives use their work to address and reflects the concerns of our contemporary society across all art forms and creative media.
2) Submit your work to our artist calls. We are looking for work in all media, genres, and corners of the campus for our exhibits. Exhibits will be both physical and virtual, so even if you are predominantly off campus this semester, we would love to feature your work as web exclusives. Keep an eye on Library social media and this space for future calls.
3) Participate in our programming. Watch this site for ways to get involved with artist round tables, discussion panels, workshops, and more!
4) Browse our resource guides and other materials. We will be hosting and linking, here and via our social e-mail to resources on art and activism topics.
5) We are also seeking student generated curatorial projects for physical exhibitions in both physical and virtual spaces. Do you have an idea for an exhibit and/or installation related to ARTIVISM , we'd love to hear your ideas!
contact Kristy Bowen ( kbowen@colum.edu) if you would like to get involved.
